Spring Break Bikini Parade – break the Guinness World Record!
Florida Vacation Guide to Spring Break Bikini Parade
Be part of the Guinness Book of World Records on your Florida vacation! Take part in a mass Bikini Parade on March 6 at Harpoon Harry’s restaurant and set a world record. Trade in your books for this Spring Break kick-off event and head down to Panama City Beach where this is only one of many Spring break events for students.
Spring Break Fever
Exams are over and cold weather is still here! It’s the time of the year when thousands of college students head down south looking for fun and excitement. If you’re looking for a party spot known for wild contests and MTV entertainment, Panama City Beach is popular among students. This year, aside from the usual beach bashes, DJ events, contests and tournaments, they’re calling out to students to don bikinis and join in a competition against Australians.
World’s Largest Bikini Parade Rules
The rules are very strict: no one-piece suits, no shorts (no matter how short!), no tankinis, not even a cover-up. It’s bikinis only! Within that category, however, any color, pattern or design in bikinis are allowed.
The Gold Coast in Australia is the reigning record holder, with 357 bikinis in 2011 so Panama City Beach is looking to break this record and is promising $1,000 to a charity as part of the event. So if you’re heading down to the 27 miles of sandy beaches to party, join other college students and put Florida on the map for another Guinness World Record.
Other Party Spots
- Boardwalk Beach Resort: pool parties and live DJs
- Hammerhead Fred’s: glow paint party (every Friday)
- Sandpiper Beacon & Tiki bar: beach volleyball tournaments
