It’s Florida Park and Recreation Month for all of July – have you been outside yet? Here are some events to get you outdoors in Florida parks for this coming week:

Sport Lobster Mini Event, Big Pine Key

Learn about everything related to lobsters, from fishing to boating, at Bahia Honda State Park. Step onto a U.S. Coast Guard vessel for a tour or stop by a Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary or Dolphin Research Center information booth to learn more about their.

Kayak Trip, St. Augustine

Paddle down the Pellicer tidal creek in your kayak to explore the marshes and learn about the creatures that inhabit this estuary. All proceeds from the trip go toward Faver-Dykes State Park.

Beach Safety Awareness Program, Destin

We know how important safety on the beach is. Visit Henderson Beach State Park to learn about dangerous marine life, rip currents, and warning systems. Bring any questions you have as a lifeguard will be at this event to answer them.
