Father’s Day ideas if Dad is a car enthusiast
Florida Vacation guide to a car-focused Father’s Day gift
Did Dad teach you how to drive or help you buy your first car? From dining to museums, you can make this a car-centric father’s day!
Muscle Car Diner, Punta Gorda
Treat Dad to a burger, fries and an old fashioned root beer float in a 60′s diner. If that alone doesn’t take him back in time, the vintage muscle cars in the museum will be sure to light up his eyes. The diner is open for breakfast and lunch, and you can always tour the cars in the 99,000-square-foot museum afterward.
Drive a Ferrari, Orlando
If you dad is a supercar enthusiast, put him behind the wheel of Porsche, Ferrari or Lamborghini at Disney’s “Exotic Driving Experience.” He can speed around the Walt Disney World Speedway for six laps for $199 or take the circuits with a professional driver for $99. If you’re not sure if the experience is for him, check out our video below to get a sense of what this Richard Petty Experience is like:
Tour vintage cars
From roadsters and race cars to vintage muscle cars and a Batmobile, Florida has car museums to suit everyone’s fancy. If you’re looking for a museum that’s vintage itself, try the Sarasota Classic Car Museum. Within the entire U.S., it’s the second oldest and will take at least an hour to walk through the entire lineup of antiques.
