Cloris Leachman has a total of 140 television credits to her name, from The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Lassie in the 1970s, to The Facts of Life in the 1980s and most recently, Fox’s Raising Hope. She’s been on Dancing With the Stars and she’s in three upcoming films; The Fields with Tara Reid, Adult World with Emma Roberts and John Cusack and Gambit with Cameron Diaz and Colin Firth. This Hollywood icon and beloved American actress has eight Primetime Emmy® Awards to her name – more than any other performer – and one Daytime Emmy®. And of course, in 1972, Leachman received a Best Supporting Actress Oscar® for her performance in The Last Picture Show.
Cloris Leachman comes to Central Florida
Leachman will be in Central Florida this month to screen a digitally restored director’s cut of The Last Picture Show at the Florida Film Festival. This presentation includes 7 minutes of footage that was unseen in its theatrical release. Leachman will also be sharing stories of her remarkable career during a Q&A segment.
About The Last Picture Show
Set in a dying little Texas town in the 1950s where the town’s only cinema is slated to be closed, this great American drama which received eight Academy Award nods was based on the semi-autobiographical novel written by Larry McMurtry and directed by Peter Bogdanovich.
