A fairy lovely afternoon for believers
Florida Vacation Guide: “Fairy Lovely Afternoon” at the Burroughs
Calling all believers! Little girls who believe in fairies (and little girls who grew up and never stopped believing) from kindergarten age and up, are all cordially invited to the Burroughs Home, home of the Uncommon Friends Foundation, for a “Fairy Lovely Afternoon.”
A Fairy Lovely Afternoon
This whimsical, magical afternoon happens Sunday, April 1, at 2pm. Mothers, grandmothers, daughters, nieces and aunts who believe in fairies will gather under the magnificent oak trees for an unforgettable afternoon.
Storyteller Laurie Nienhaus leads the event. There’ll be desserts to enjoy and many different fairy activities will be happening throughout the afternoon. All little girls are encouraged to wear their fairy costumes so they can participate in the fairy parade! There’ll be plenty of photo ops, so take your camera. Besides, you never know if a fairy encounter might occur!
The Burroughs Home and Gardens
The Burroughs Home, a Georgian Revival Mansion built in 1901, is one of the oldest homes in Fort Myers. Full of character and charm, this old home is breathing a new life under the management of the Uncommon Friends Foundation. Fairy Lovely Afternoon is only one of the fun new activities to enjoy at this special place located at 2505 1st Street in Fort Myers.
