Also in 2010, the Florida Film Festival made MovieMaker Magazine’s list of “20 Coolest Film Festivals in the World.” The Florida Film Festival also got a nod in “The Ultimate Film Festival Survival Guide, 2nd Edition” as one of the Top Ten film festivals in the world.
About the Florida Film Festival
For twenty years, the Florida Film Festival has been premiering the best in independent and foreign cinema. This year’s event features a record-breaking number of entries with more than 160 films and 100 visiting filmmakers. For the ten days of this awesome festival, it will be all about Film, Food, and Fun!
As always, there will be tons of celebrities on hand for the event. Over the years guests have included Jon Voight, Oliver Stone, Edward Burns, Jason Lee, Dennis Hopper, Christopher Walken, Leelee Sobieski, Campbell Scot, Gena Rowlands, Steve Buscemi and William H. Macy. We’re excited to see who will appear this year.
The program line up of the 2012 festival features American Independent Narrative, International Shorts and Features, Documentary Shorts and Features, Animated Shorts and FEatures, Music Movies, Midnight Films, Food Films, Family Films, Retro Films and a Florida Sidebar.

Accredited by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Florida Film Festival’s Grand Jury Award for Best Live Action and Animated Short films will qualify the winners for entries into the Live Action and Animated Short Film categories of the Academy Awards ®!
