Florida Travel News: Kids can party into 2013

If you’re looking to ring in the New Year with your children, check out the following family-friendly parties:

The 5th Annual Harbor Ball Drop, Destin

Families come to HarborWalk Village for the annual street party from  7:00 p.m. till midnight. With live music from the Andy Velo Band, a ball drop over the harbor, and a choreographed fireworks show, it’s a fun evening for the entire family.

The TradeWinds Island Grand, St. Pete

Book a room at the TradeWinds and celebrate with your children. If your children are between the ages of 4 to 12, they have their very own New Year’s party with games, crafts, dinner and festivities.  If your children are between the ages of 13 to 18, they can party in the Teen Bash that includes a DJ, life-sized video games and mocktails. Both parties run from 8 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. and the cost for the children’s party is $60/the first child and $30/each additional. The teen party is $35/teen.

Family New Year’s Eve Celebration, Amelia Island

At the Omni Amelia Island Plantation, families can start celebrating at 6 p.m. with two swim-up movies and a fire pit with s’mores  apple juice toast.

The Holiday Inn Resort, Panama City Beach

Parents can party on two floors while children enjoy pizza at their very own party in the Kids’ Activities Center. The next morning, children can eat breakfast for free with an adult at The View Restaurant.
