Starbucks coming to Disney World
Florida Travel News: Coffee Locations Coming to Disney Parks
For those of us that need the java fix, and can’t live without a round of Starbucks during the day, Disney World is answering the call! Yes, Starbucks will open at locations in Disney theme parks starting this year but the sign won’t be screaming from the streets and the location itself and server costumes will have the consistency of the theme park’s surroundings. Although all the locations at the Walt Disney World Resort aren’t known at this point, there are first two locations in the theme parks that will open early in 2013, after some renovations – the Magic Kingdom and Epcot are among the first to debut the popular coffee chain.
Main Street Bakery, Magic Kingdom
Main Street, U.S.A. will be the first place where you can smell Starbucks. The Main Street Bakery will close this month for refurbishments and open again in early summer. The bakery will retain the same name and theme and will still serve all the Disney treats like cookies and seasonal cupcakes, but if you want a cup of java, you can now order some of the signature beverages that Starbucks is known for, along with other menu items. For consistency, cast members at the cafe will wear early 20th century costumes as seen on Main Street.
Fountain View, Epcot
In March 2013, the Fountain View will have a temporary closure and reopen midsummer, also serving Starbucks products. Since it’s locate in Future World at Epcot, costumes will match the futuristic theme.
