Senses opens at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort December 17
Florida Travel News: First in a series of new Disney Spas opens next week
The newly remodeled Senses – A Disney Spa at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort will open on December 17th, 2013, fully owned and operated by the Walt Disney Company. Along with Disney’s whimsical touches, it will combine the opulent touches of the Grand Floridian’s Victorian architecture along with soothing elixirs, color lighting and special Disney orchestral music unique to each treatment.
The New Look
The Victorian-style entryway leads you to the spa’s main lobby with Floridian nature and landscapes depicted in an original mural. Glass mosaic tiles are another feature that add to the elegance of the Grand Floridian spa.
Before you even start your treatment, come early and relax in the lounges and whirlpools that are a part of the Florida citrus and botanical theme. There are 15 treatment rooms that service a variety of treatments from exfoliations and wraps to pedicures and water therapies such as the following:
- rejuvenating citrus facial
- restorative hand and foot ritual with Chinese Jasmine oils
- Princess Pedicure or Magical Manicure for youngsters ages 4-12.
There is a new spa service menu and the highlight is the signature treatment: 80-minute Grand Floridian that includes an aromatherapy massage.
Saratoga Springs Spa
On January 16th, 2013, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort spa will close for renovation. It will debut during the summer as Senses – A Disney Spa at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort.
