Holiday Celebrations at Hollywood Studios go till the New Year!
Florida Travel News: It’s Christmas all week long at Hollywood Studios
Over the years, it’s been Christmas in Hollywood Studios well before November and December, but the celebration also continues throughout this week right until January 6th in 2013. If you’re looking to extend your yuletide celebrations, or ring in the New Year, check out Hollywood Studios.
It’s not only every housefront that is decorated for the holidays, with wreaths on front doors to red bows on dogs, but there were many Christmas films shot at the studios, such as “Ernest Saves Christmas”. Have a look around and see if you can spot a scene!
Falling snow in Florida
Yes, even Disney creates snow. Have a look around, especially during the Osborne light spectacular and see if you feel a snowflake land on your eyelashes!
Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights
From dusk until the theme park closes, the backlot sparkles with millions of lights and three dimensional animated displays during Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. In fact, the Streets of America at Hollywood Studios theme park will be sparkling until January 6, 2013. Originally created by Jennings Osborne in Arkansas, the lights, synchronized to seasonal tunes, have Santa guiding his reindeer, angels flying and carousels spinning, all within a multi techno-colored light show. Even snow flurries are part of the magical disney show. Don’t worry – you can’t miss the show as it happens about every 10 minutes! And while you’re bedazzled by the lights, don’t forget to look for the hidden Mickey’s!
