Holiday Celebrations at Epcot
Florida Travel News: It’s Christmas all week long at Epcot
A huge component of Epcot is about experiencing other cultures and during the holidays, there’s a chance to learn even more, right up to the end of this year.
Holidays Around the World
Walk through the lit archway that leads to the Showcase Plaza and you’re on your way to explore the holiday customs of other cultures. Holidays Around the World celebrates various cultures with their respective festive decorations and holiday music. Visit each of the nations when you step inside the pavilion to experience the unique customs. Storytellers through the park speak about the holiday traditions: The Three Kings, Father Christmas, Papa Noel, La Befana, Julenissen and other seasonal characters from around the world.
Illuminations Fireworks Show
Don’t forget the spherical video display at the World Showcase Lagoon to round out your evening as the 3-act show around the fountain is one of the best light displays and along with the compelling music and fireworks, there’s a special holiday ending during this season.
Amy Grant and Marlee Matlin / Jack Jason round out the favorite performance where celebrity narrators retell the Christmas story accompanied by a choir and a 50-piece orchestra at American Gardens Theatre. The times are at 5:00 p.m., 6:45 p.m. or 8:15 p.m. The only way to be guaranteed a seat for this show is by purchasing a Candlelight Processional dining package which gets you a fantastic meal at a restaurant in Epcot, a guaranteed seat for he show, and special viewing for IllumiNations.
