Stretch your wallet during the holidays and check out some of these free Christmas events:

1. 5th Annual Red and Green Nature Hike

Stretch your legs before a big turkey dinner on a Christmas morning nature hike at Tarkiln Bayou Preserve State Park in Pensacola. The one-mile guided hike will be running rain or shine, on the ADA accessible Tarkiln Bayou Trail where you’ll learn about native plants. You can use a wheelchair and stroller on the trail.

2. Synchronized Nightly Tree Light Shows

A 56-foot-tree and a 10-minute synchronized light show are part of the festive celebrations at The Jacksonville Landing until the New Year. Every hour from 6 till 9 pm on Sunday through Thursday, and 6 pm till midnight on Friday and Saturday, you can watch more than 78,000 twinkling lights illuminate the evening.

3. Key West “Bight” Before Christmas

Live yuletide tunes, children’s games and free cookies are part of the holiday festivities on Islamorada, along with Santa photo ops and a parade!
