1. Mandarin Museum at Walter Jones Historical Park

Learn about the history of this part of Jacksonville with a visit to a Florida museum – the Mandarin Museum. Take some time to immerse yourself in the scenic beauty of the place with a stroll through the 11 acre park set on the bank of the St. Johns River. Explore the 1876 barn and home that were built there by Major William Webb. Discover the Losco Winery building, a charming sawmill and  a picturesque boardwalk along the river. View interesting artifacts inside the museum related to the Civil War, Harriet Beecher Stowe (she lived at the Mandarin from 1867-1881) and more.

2. Butterflies, Butterflies, Butterflies!

In St. Augustine this weekend you can learn about these topics and more at Butterflies, Butterflies, Butterflies! When the kids get tired of learning about butterflies, they can play a game of butterfly bingo!

3. Saturday in the park

Grab a blanket and a picnic basket then head to the park for live jazz under the stars with the Leon Anderson group. Enjoy craft beer and delicious specials from the city’s best restaurants, hotels, museums and bars.
