1. Cool Art Show, St. Petersburg

The historic St. Petersburg Coliseum is home to the 24th annual Cool Art Show this weekend. And guess what? It’s free to attend and it’s also free to park! Admire the work of 80 artists, all masters of their craft in wood, paint, ceramics, photography, glass, metal, jewelry and mixed media. Eat some good food, drink some beer and wine, or choose from some of the other beverages that will be available at event concession stands.

2. Davis Art Center planning jazz jam session

Live jazz music, anyone? Head to the Davis Art Center for a jazz jam session where there’ll be some cool stuff happening, musically, as part of MusicWalk and it starts at 7pm.

3. Mandarin Museum at Walter Jones Historical Park

Visit a Florida museum in Jacksonville- the Mandarin Museum - and spend time immersing yourself in the scenic beauty of the place with a relaxing stroll through the 11 acre park set on the bank of the St. Johns River. Explore the 1876 barn and home that were built there by Major William Webb. See some very interesting artifacts inside the museum related to the Civil War and Harriet Beecher Stowe (she lived at the Mandarin from 1867-1881).
