The best July 4th fireworks in Florida
Florida Travel Guide: Where to catch the best July 4th Fireworks
The best part of July 4th celebrations are the fireworks shows, and they’ll be everywhere. Whether you’re watching the bright lights from your backyard, a neighborhood gathering or heading out and catch a big display, here are some of this year’s best of the star-spangled celebration:
Selby Gardens, Sarasota
Stroll through the botanical gardens and then sit on the Great Lawn and watch fireworks light up Sarasota Bay. From 6-9:30 pm, the fourth of July event includes face painting, a bounce house and live reggae music. Make sure you set up your bring folding chairs or lawn blankets on the shoreline early enough to get a prime viewing spot. Food and beverages (including beer and wine) are available and no coolers are allowed.
3D Fireworks at Legoland, Orlando
It’s the first Independence Day celebration at Legoland and they’re planning a unique one with “Red, Brick & Boom”. The highlight is wearing 3D glasses that will transform an everday fireworks show into millions of bricks. The show is included in park admission.
Fireworks Spectacular, Jacksonville
Watch the St. Johns River light up from Jacksonville Landing for one of the biggest fireworks displays in the State, choreographed to patriotic music. You can see the lights from either the north or south bank as there are two river barges. Two performances by Stevie Fingers from 5 to 9 p.m. and 5 X 7 Band from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., round out the evening.
Marathon Beach Party & Fireworks Show, The Keys
Along the entire 120-mile string of islands, Marathon holds the largest and longest fireworks show. Join hundreds of boaters that line the shore, or take in the entire day’s activities, from the 10:30 a.m. parade on Sombrero Beach Road (MM 50 oceanside) to free-admission, crafts and entertainment at Sombrero Beach.
3-day Fireworks, Space Coast
July fireworks don’t start on the 4th on the Space Coast, it’s a triple whammy! Start at Cocoa Beach on Monday, July 2nd with Fireworks Over the Ocean at the Pier. On Tuesday, July 3rd, head over to Port Canaveral for Fireworks Over the Harbor and the Independence Day finale is in the Cocoa Village with light displays over the Indian River.
