Take Dad out for a unique lunch on Father’s Day!
Florida Travel Guide to unique Father’s Day lunches
There are lots of Father’s Day brunches for celebrating Dad, but if you want to do something unique with Dad, try one of the following lunches:
Muscle Car City Diner, Punta Gorda
If Dad loves vintage cars, take him through the 99,000-square-foot museum, filled with muscle cars, from Corvettes to Camaros. Afterward, take him to the 60′s themed diner for an old-fashion shake or root beer float, along with sandwiches, hot dogs or burgers. The diner is open from 8 am to 4 pm
All-you-can-drink Beer, Sunny Isles Beach
If your father likes to kick back with a beer, take him to the Brunch and Brews at Marenas Beach Resort & Spa in Sunny Isles. You can top off Dad’s brunch with a beer bar that is all you can drink for $15. The brunch itself is from 11 am to 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 17and includes entertainment and valet parking. (Cost: $40/person; $15/children 5-12; free/children under 4.
Good rice at Columbia restuarant, St. Augustine
The Columbia restaurant is serving dishes on Father’s Day that normally aren’t on their lunch and dinner menus. Make sure Dad tries the fresh sea scallops in the Vieiras y Ibérico “Canarias” dish, that comes with the fragrant “Good Rice”, a recipe with browned butter, chicken stock, and fresh basil. Adela Gonzmart (the third founding family member) created “Good rice” for Richard Gonzmart, the 4th generation founding family member and President. You’ll find this recipe, along with the Chuleta de Cerdo “Montanesa” dish of boneless pork chop, wild mushrooms and Rioja wine sauce, available at any of the Columbia restaurant locations.
