Florida Travel Guide to a cheap date at the Ritz
Want a date that won’t empty your wallet and still dazzle? At 7 p.m., this Thursday, March 8, step into the chic lobby of Coconut Grove’s Ritz-Carlton and plop onto a couch in the open courtyard to watch a movie under the stars. The evening is free and open to the public and not even a reservation is required. Other than paying $8 for valet parking and a drink, you’re on your way!
Starry Night Movie Classics on The Courtyard
The Ritz has planned this event around the full moon, just for the extra air of charm and romance. It’s held in the Bizcaya Fountain Courtyard for the open air experience, where you can watch stars and moonlight after the movie is finished. Plush, comfy couches and romantic lighting surround the courtyard’s cascading fountain, where you will be offered cuvees and specialty cocktails. Executive Chef Khaled Ibrahim has also prepared appetizers with an Italian and Mediterranean theme, and the option for a moonlit dinner is also on the menu.

The free movie screenings will include Hollywood classics such as Roman Affair, Casablanca and Cinema Paradiso.
