Florida News: Allegiant offers new non-stop flights from Niagara Falls to Punta Gorda
Florida Travel Guide for non-stop flights into southwest Florida via Punta Gorda
Right on the heels of the announcement for a new nonstop service between Niagara Falls and Ft. Lauderdale, Allegiant Airlines announced a new nonstop service between Niagara Falls and southwest Florida via the Punta Gorda Airport (PGD). Starting on June 29, they will fly between Niagara Falls International Airport (IAG) and Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) twice a week. Allegiant is appealing to the Canadian market – along with Ft. Lauderdale and Punta Gorda, the airline offers nonstop service to two other Florida destinations out of the Niagara Falls International Airport: Orlando and St. Petersburg/Clearwater.
The lowest prices will start around $93.99 for one-way fare and up to July 6th, the lowest prices on three-night hotel and air packages start at $395/person.
As is the case with discount airlines, following are the baggage fees:
- One personal item is free to bring onboard, but it must fit under the seat in front of you.
- if you purchase when you are booking, a checked bag fee of up to $35 per bag, per segment, will apply for the first two checked bags and up to $25 for a carry-on bag, which must fit in the overhead bin.
- If purchased at flight check-in, a fee of $35 per checked bag, per person, per segment, will apply for the first two bags checked and for a carry-on bag, which must fit in the overhead bin.
- If you fly with three or more checked bags, there will be additional higher fees.
