From scenic kayaking and smooth jazz to jousting knights and broncin’ bulls, there are some amazing events happening in Northern Florida over the next few days.

1) Wakulla River Kayak Eco-Adventure

Spend two splendid hours on the Wakulla River with The Wilderness Way. The admission fee includes your kayak, gear, transportation and refreshments for this beginner-friendly guided trek.
  • Highlight: A Saturday morning on a gorgeous waterway

  • Where: Wakulla River. From Tallahassee area: head 12 minutes South of Capital Circle on Woodville Highway. Turn right at Hwy 267 (By Savannahs Restaurant) then first (quick) left onto Shadeville Rd.

2) Jazz Jamm Soulful Night of Keys

Black History Month kicks off here with three jazz piano greats. There will be two shows (one at 7 and one at 10) where Lonnie Liston Smith, Brian Jackson and Mark Adams will entertain you for a couple of soulful hours.

  • Highlight: Smooth sounds of jazz
  • When: February 4: 7pm and 10pm

  • Cost: $21 in advance and $25 at the door

3) Hoggetown Medieval Faire

Watch street performers dance, juggle and jest! Enjoy the minstrels playing period music. Shop the bustling medieval market and cheer for your favorite contender as knights joust in full armor. Watch more than 150 artisans working on their craft and watch King Arthur, Queen Guinevere and Merlin the Magician in a living chess match. Feast on giant turkey legs, blooming onions and sweet potato fries.

4) Professional Bull Riding Invitational

One of the most well-known rodeo producers in the country is behind this broncin’ good time. Enjoy a weekend of rank bulls, big wrecks and high scores.

5) 1st Annual Pensacola Blues Festival

This concert which brings together some of the biggest legends in blues history promises to be an unforgettable evening. One stage. One night only!
