World Beer Festival Comes to St. Petersburg, Lakeland and Naples

Florida News: Craft Brew market is on the rise with three beer festivals this fall

This weekend, the World Beer Festival makes its first Florida stop in St. Petersburg on Saturday, September 22, 2012. Given that the craft beer scene is on the rise in Florida, the festival will return in November 2012 to Lakeland on November 10th and Naples/Ft Myers on November 17th. Along with beer sampling, this festival also has seminars and focuses on the education of craft beers and brewing. In order to attend you have to show a valid from of identification such as a State Driver’s License or passport. Note that beers and food items mentioned below can change (the following are noted for the St. Petersburg Festival).

Food Sampling

Remember that safe beer sampling includes drinking water or other non-alcoholic beverages and taking frequent food breaks. There are meals to fill your stomach such as BBQ pork sandwiches to authentic Ybor City cubans and creamy black beans with rice or snack items such as soft pretzels, smoked fish spread on crackers or hummus with pita chips.
