Florida News: 2013 Southwest Florida Wine & Food Fest happening February 22 & 23

This two-day fundraising festival kicks off with chef-vintner dinners – lavish gastronomical affairs – that take place in the private homes of vintners from select wineries and very talented chefs. Guests at these dinners will enjoy amazing food and wine pairings as part of an unforgettable evening. It’s all for the greater good of The Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.

Chef-Vintner Dinners

Inspired meals paired with fine wines in an intimate atmosphere, all for a well-deserving cause. Last year’s participating wineries included:

  • Myriad Cellars
  • Kathryn Hall Winery
  • Spanish wines presented by Ben Carson

  • Larkin’s on the River
  • Bay House
  • La Trattoria Cafe Napoli
  • Bayfront Bistro
  • Normal Love Confections
  • Sea Salt
  • Naples National Golf Club

  • Bleu Provence

When you purchase a ticket to one of these vintner dinners, you’re automatically given a seat at the host’s reserved table on Saturday during the Grand Tasting and Auction.

The Grand Tasting and Auction

Join guests form all of the previous day’s dinners and sample food from all featured chefs and wines from all of the featured vintners. It takes place on the shores of the Miromar Lakes Beach Club. Inside, bid on an item at the silent or live auctions and help rais emoney for the hospital. In previous years, luxurious lots offered included a private vineyard tour and tasting in Italy, a James Bond inspired getaway, a trip to the Masters and more! Last year, $2 million was raised by the Grand Tasting and Live Auction.
