What To Do In Florida: Halloween Events in Tampa Bay
Florida News: Halloween Events To Do in Tampa Bay
As summer draws to a close and fall is ushered in, it’s time to start making plans for Halloween. Even though there’s no brilliant fall foliage to be found in central Florida, you’ll see many pumpkins and other classic objects, symbolic of autumn and Halloween. And if you’ll be in this part of Florida – the unofficial theme park capital of the world – around the end of October, you know you’ll find a ton of stuff happening that will scare the pants off of you and all of your family members!
Here are some of the best Halloween Events to consider if you’ll be in Tampa Bay at the end of October:
ZooBoo at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo
What lurks in the dark? Find out if you dare, during ZooBoo! Take the kids through six haunted houses for some spooky fun. Explore Creepy Crawler Lane or Wake the Dead at the zombie-themed haunt. Here’s something that’s not too scary…once you’re in the gates, enjoy unlimited Zoo rides for free! (Don’t worry, Moms and Dads, it’s all kid-friendly!)
Plan a visit to the Florida Aquarium for Guppyween 2012 where kids will have fun getting a little scared, but they’ll also be able to discover some educational programs and to watch interesting underwater demos including pumpkin carving!
Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens
This one is not for kids! Even just visiting the event website will scare the stuffing out of you. See for yourself how Howl-O-Scream “unlocks the fear that grows behind the Dark Side of the Gardens’ gate”. Chilling good fun…if you’re brave enough.
Celebrate Latin style! Head to Tampa Bay’s Latin Quarter Ybor City for Guavaween (Tampa’s nickname is “The Big Guava”) where there will be a huge street party taking place. It combines the zany, unusual, frightening and wild all in one convenient location!
