Florida News: Top August concerts are the Elvis and the Lopez and Iglesias duo

August has a number of upcoming concerts – here are two that are getting lots of attention, especially the tribute to one of the greatest artists of the century.

Elvis Tribute

It was 35 years ago this week – August 16th – that America lost one of its pop culture icons – the King of Rock-n-Roll, Elvis Presley. In memory, a tribute concert is being held this weekend by artist, Chris MacDonald. The Memories of Elvis in Concert includes songs and costumes that reflect the various stages of Elvis’s career from the 50s to his blockbuster movies. Contrary to many Elvis tributes, MacDonald has been the only tribute artist that Elvis Presley Enterprises contracted to perform at Graceland’s Heartbreak Hotel, so the show is authentic and not overdone as other tribute concerts can become.

Latin Popstars

When two Latino superstars team up, it’s bound to get hot and steamy! Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias have joined forces for a mega-city tour that winds down in Florida with three consecutive concert dates. Once Lopez left American Idol, she talked of wanting to hit the stage and perform again so this concert holds that enthusiasm, as well as the Latin duo component.
