See a special screening of the 1977 classic, Smokey and the Bandit and get up close and personal with movie star Burt Reynolds. He makes a one-evening appearance at Stuart’s Lyric Theatre where he will share memorable moments, stories and funny anecdotes about the iconic movie and also stick around for a question-and-answer session. Last year, a similar event built around the movie, Deliverance, was sold out.

The 76-year-old actor will appear in his annual “An Evening with Burt Reynolds,” in 2013 on January 30th and 31st.
Burt Reynolds Institute for Film & Theatre
Reynolds’ personal appearances are also part of a fundraising effort for his local non-profit foundation – the Burt Reynolds Institute for Film & Theatre – that has a schedule of acting classes and filmmaking seminars. The Burt Reynolds & Friends Museum, which houses memorabilia from Reynolds’ movie career, from posters to the canoe from Deliverance, is in the process of finding a new home on U.S. Highway 1 in Jupiter’s Burt Reynolds Park.

Reynolds and Florida
Not only does Reynolds live in Hobe Sound in northern Palm Beach County, he contributes to a number of charity events throughout the year such as the Kiwanis Club of Palm Beach Gardens College Football Roast in August. Reynolds’ football ties go way back with the Florida State University Seminoles where he held the running back position.
