1. SkyQuest 2012, DeLand

Head to the DeLand Municipal Airport for a free, spectator-friendly event that the whole family will enjoy – the International skydiving competition. Watch 100-way formations and canopy swooping. An average of 2 or 3 parachutes will open in the air at any moment during the Skydive DeLand event.

2. Downtown Delray Beach Thanksgiving Weekend Art Fest

Step away from the turkey for a little while on the weekend and head to Downtown Delray Beach for the Thanksgiving Weekend Art Fest. Admire quality art exhibitions in an outdoor, family-friendly setting. It’s of a caliber that you’d expect to find at an art gallery or museum but makes the arts more casual and approachable.

3. Nights of Lights Festival and Celebration

VIsit St. Augustine for the  Nights of Lights Festival and Celebration. See millions of twinkling lights on palm trees, buildings and more. The official opening ceremony, Light Up! Night, happens on November 17 at 6:30pm and after that, the lights stay on each night until the end of January.
