Disney Vacation Guide to the 10th Encore Show for Charity

It’s the 10th anniversary of Encore is underway and if you haven’t seen any of these shows yet, the enthusiasm behind this celebratory performance will make it stand out from the rest.

Finding Wonderland

This year’s show, “Finding Wonderland”, is a girl’s path to self-discovery. Music, acting and dancing are a part of the girl’s journey from friends and foes to triumphs and defeats. “This show has heart,” says Clay Price, 15-year Cast Member and artistic director for Encore! Cast Performing Arts. “It is going to be emotional and energetic. ‘Finding Wonderland’ has a message that we all can relate to.”

Disney Cast Member performances

Many performers you won’t see on stage at Disney – some are from the Finance or Merchandise departments, and this is the one opportunity they get for artistic expression on stage.

The Charity

Proceeds from the show go to A Better Life – Pet Rescue. The pet adoption organization was started by Disney cast members for pets in the central Florida area, to give them a second chance for life.

Show Dates

This weekend, “Finding Wonderland” will be held at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the Premier Theater from July 19th to the 22nd at 7:30 p.m.

The History of Encore

It was back in 2002, when a handful of Disney cast members wanted to help pit local charities through a cabaret-style performance. This vision has now grown into Encore! where more than 500 Disney performers put in over 50,000 volunteer hours each year to produce the show.
