Disney Vacation Guide to New Year’s Eve in the Magic Kingdom

If you love fireworks then you’ll absolutely love Disney World fireworks! And if you love Disney World fireworks, you must make a point of taking in one of the most spectacular shows of the year by ringing in the New Year in the Magic Kingdom.

The entire Magic Kingdom is in a jolly, celebratory mood and there’s much more going on to help ring in 2012 than light shows!

Pick your park for the day

It’s not recommended that you attempt park hopping on New Year’s Eve. It’s a very busy day at Disney World and each park has special events taking place. We suggest you choose the park you want to spend the day at, get there early, and stay until 2012!

Here’s what to expect if you choose to spend New Year’s Eve in the Magic Kingdom

If you missed Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade pre-holidays, take it in on New Year’s Eve! And if nighttime parades are more your speed, the Mainstreet Electrical Parade is an absolute must.

And for even more light, catch the Holiday Wishes Fireworks Display at 8:30 and the Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks at 11:50.

For something extra special, spend the night at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and enjoy a romantic four-course dining experience at Narcoosee’s complete with DJ and balloon artist followed by fireworks viewing.
