Disney Vacation Guide to the Princess Half Marathon Weekend

Do you have the determination, commitment and perseverance it takes to be considered a true princess? If so, put yourself among hundreds of women from all ages, from around the world, and join the fight against blood cancers in benefit of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society®.

What’s happening?

Disney’s Princess Half Marathon | 5:45am on Sunday, February 26 Grab a girlfriend or two and run like the wind around a 13.1 mile course that winds through Epcot and the Magic Kingdom. You can run solo or as part of a 2-person team (a pretty fun option, don’t you think?) At this time the Disney Vacation Guide has learned that this particular event is almost full so you better get yourself registered if you have your heart set on earning a sparkly Tiara Medal! Disney Royal Family 5K | 7:00am on Saturday, February 25 The whole family can participate in this fun 5K run which winds its way through the Epcot Theme Park. Hurry and register, this race is 74% full as of today! Disney Royal Family Kids’ Races | 11:00am on Saturday, February 25 There’s no reason why the little princes and princesses can’t take part in the fun too! Children under the age of 13 can earn their own medals at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Track & Field Complex (not Epcot like the other events) for the Disney Royal Family Kids’ Races. Kids can compete in the 100-meter dash, or even a 1 mile race (depending on how old they are). Got an infant? Let him or her crawl to victory in the Diaper Dash! Space is quite limited and it’s already at 82% capacity. Disney’s Fit for a Princess Expo | Saturday, February 24- Sunday, February 25Need some new running gear? Jonesing for some new gadgets? Or do you just want some Disney’s Princess Half Marathon Weekend merchandise? Head to the expo for shopping and seminars on nutrition, training, racing, and the Half Marathon course.
