If you’re planning a Florida vacation to Disney this fall and you’re wondering if your favorite festivals and general goings on will be taking place, here’s some information about what’s returning to Disney when the weather starts to cool down a bit.
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival
This favorite event for foodies from all over is taking place this year from September 28 through November 12. New to the lineup for this, the 17th annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will be Fresh-from-Florida and vegan dishes.
Night of Joy
2012 marks the 30th year for Night of Joy. This contemporary Christian music festival takes place after hours (7:30pm – 1am) in the Magic Kingdom, September 7-8. Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns, NEEDTOBREATHE, Third Day, MercyMe and Kutless are among the inspiring acts to take the stage for this special event. Many of the park’s most popular attractions will be available for guests to enjoy. A special ticket is required for admission to this event.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Trick-or-treating in the Magic Kingdom, a spooky children’s parade, face painting and more are part of the Halloween-themed family event being held this year from September 11 through November 2. This event requires a special admission ticket.
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler Weekend
Are you brave enough to run through 10 miles of dark and ghostly streets, haunted by Disney villains? RunDisney dares you to do just that by participating in The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler Weekend September 28-29.
The PGA Tour
Some of the world’s top golfers will be playing the 42nd Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Classic from November 8 through 11. The Classic is the season finale for the PGA tour and it’s usually held at the Palm and Magnolia Golf Courses.
Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon
Happening under the stars from November 9-10, the Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon will take you through the theme parks before giving you the chance to celebrate at an after-ours party inside the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. There will also be kid’s races and a family fun run!
Festival of the Masters
Visit this outdoor fine arts show in Downtown Disney, November 9-11. Admire the works of 150 juried Fine Artists and over 40 Emerging Masters. Shop for paintings, clay, glass, jewelry and more. There will also be food and entertainment, of course!
