President Barack Obama to visit the Magic Kingdom
Disney Vacation Guide to Obama’s first visit to Florida of this election year
You can see the audio animatronic president any day of the week at Disney World at the Hall of Presidents attraction but the real President Barack Obama will be there in the flesh his week (on Thursday January 19) to announce a new strategy expected to give tourism in the United States a much needed boost.
Obama’s motorcade will bring him to Disney World from the Orlando International Airport at 11:40 am on Thursday morning but it will be a short visit. He is expected to leave the Central Florida area at 2:15.
The Disney Vacation Guide has learned that with Cinderella Castle in the background, President Obama will give his speech at 12:35pm in the Magic Kingdom during his first visit to Florida in this election year.
Security will be tight!
What could be a more high-profile location for a tourism announcement than Disney World? Of course the Magic Kingdom is going to be heavily secured and if you’re hoping to catch a glimpse of President Obama you might be disappointed. The event is by White House Invitation only so you probably won’t get to see very much. The park’s operating hours for the day will be reduced but Disney has extended hours and added some fun entertainment to the Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios to make up for the inconvenience.

How do you think tourism in the United States could be improved?
