Disney Vacation Guide: New at the Animal Kingdom

Wondering how you can make your next visit to Disney World something new and exciting?

Even if you’ve been there, done that and explored the heck out of all Disney’s theme parks, there are several new, premium add-on experiences to consider that will make your next visit something truly amazing.

New Animal Kingdom Experiences

The Sunrise Safari

At 7:00am on Sundays and Thursdays, Kilimanjarl Club Level guests of the Animal Kingdom Lodge have the opportunity to take in an amazing 45-minute safari. See the animals greet the sun, learn about how they’re cared for, and find out more about the operation of the theme park. The safari is followed by a lavish breakfast buffet in the park.

Wild Africa Trek

The newest Animal Kingdom premium experience is a safari like no other…at least no other outside of Africa.

Traverse swaying footbridges above hippos and crocodiles, crouch along the trails and explore the jungly heart of Disney’s Animal Kingdom with an expert guide. Learn more about the animals as you trek through “Wild Africa” by foot or in a customized safari vehicle. At the end of the safari, feast on Africa-inspired food and drink at a peaceful overlook above the savanna.

New dining experience

Join one of Disney’s animal specialists at Sanaa at Kidani Village in the Animal Kingdom Lodge for a brand new dining experience. Enjoy the flavors of Africa while learning about the park’s wildlife in a setting where giraffes, zebras and white-bearded wildebeest roam outside the windows. This intimate 4-course lunch experience is limited to 12 guests so you have a chance to ask all your burning Animal Kingdom questions.

After feasting on slow-cooked meats, savory dips, warm naan bread and interesting desserts, head to a savanna lookout to observe and learn more about the exotic animals you see grazing in front of you.
