Perfect Disney World day for little princesses
Disney Vacation Guide: princess for a day
If you can recite all the words to The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and The Princess and the Frog then when you visit Disney World, you better prepare to spend a lot of time indulging your own little princess.
Lucky for you, that shouldn’t be too difficult!
Salagadoola Mechicka Boola, Bibbidi Bobbidi…Boutique!
There’s a magical beauty salon at the World of Disney Store and in the Cinderella Castle where little girls go in looking ordinary and they come out princesses. The magic is possible because the salons are owned by the Fairy Godmother herself and operated by her Godmothers in waiting!
There are several options to choose from, from the Coach Package where girls get a fancy hairstyle and shimmering makeup, to the Castle Package which also includes nails, costume, accessories and a couple of photos in a themed frame.
When you leave the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, your little girl will feel perfectly prepared for an encounter with a princess.
And this would be the perfect time to have a reservation made for lunch at Akershus in Epcot for the Princess Storybook Dining experience.
Akershus Princess Storybook Dining
Beamed ceilings soar high above, sweeping archways seem to go on forever and leaded-glass windows let the sun shine in. This impressive medieval castle-themed restaurant is part of the Norway Pavilion at Epcot.
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall features American cuisine for breakfast and authentic Norwegian dishes for lunch and dinner. You never know which princesses will stop by your table for a visit but they will give autographs and pose for photos while you enjoy the castle-ambiance and your delicious Norwegian meal. Kjottkaker, anyone? Fear not, little princesses have familiar options to choose from including pizza, hotdogs and pasta.
Wishes Nighttime Spectacular
Later that evening, take her to see the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular so she can wish upon a star. (If wishing upon a star really does work, what better place to make a wish than at Disney World?)
Arrive early in front of Cinderella Castle to spot Tinkerbell flying in the sky as Jiminy Cricket guides Ariel, Peter Pan and other characters in this story highlighted with fireworks and music. It is the top fireworks show in the Magic Kingdom, one where wishes truly feel possible.
