Jordin Sparks spotted in Disney World
Disney Vacation Guide: Jordin Sparks spoke at the 2012 Disney’s Dreamers Academy
This past weekend, a hundred students from high schools across the United States attended Disney World’s Dreamer’s Academy with Steve Harvey and ESSENCE Magazine.
A four-day program hosted by Disney and well-known entertainer Steve Harvey, Disney’s Dreamers Academy is quite often described as “the world’s most creative classroom.” The goal of the program is to inspire selected students to help them dream bigger and to start making their big dreams come true.
During the Dreamers Academy, students engage in many activities and interact with industry professionals who help them on the way to their chosen career paths.
Jordin Sparks gets involved
Jordin Sparks knows a thing or two about dreams. After winning the sixth season of American Idol competition at the age of 17, Jordin became the youngest winner in Idol history. She stars in the film Sparkle, due to be released this summer, alongside her personal idol, Whitney Houston. (Houston, of course, has passed away since the movie finished filming.) Jordin spoke this weekend at the fifth annual Disney’s Dreamers Academy during the commencement ceremony.
Do you want to be the next Jordin Sparks?
A select number of guests each day get the chance to audition to perform in front of a live audience via the American Idol Experience in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you get chosen to sing you get the full treatment complete with hair, make up, and a session with a vocal coach to help you prepare. It will feel just like the real thing. The audience votes! One winner at the end of the day is handed the Dream Ticket. That Dream Ticket gets you at the front of the line up of any American Idol auditions in the US.
If you could encounter any celebrity on your Florida vacation, who would it be?
