Fanciful play areas of the Oceaneer Club on the Disney Fantasy
Disney Vacation Guide: Disney Fantasy play areas
The newest ship to join the Disney Cruise Line’s fleet of ships, the Disney Fantasy, has almost one whole deck designed just to entertain children.
Children aged 3-10 are invited to play to their hearts’ content at the Oceaneer Club, a kid-friendly haven on Deck 5 of the Disney Fantasy. Friendly monsters, Disney fairies, undersea adventures and familiar toys await at the Oceaneer Club!
Tinker Bell and her fairy friends live in the enchanted land known as Pixie Hollow. Your little ones will be amazed to discover this magical place exists right here on the DIsney Fantasy! Hundreds of fairy lights twinkle in the branches and leaves of the pixie tree which stands in the center of the room. Fairy houses, the size of hummingbird feeders, hang in the boughs, lending to the whimsical ambiance. Like true tinker fairies, children can make crafts in this magical forest while perched atop mushroom- and acorn-shaped stools.
Inspired by the film “Finding Nemo,” in the Explorer Pod, children can explore and play games at one of 16 interactive computer stations. A bright yellow and blue submarine seems to emerge from a pool of water in the center of the room.
Your kids will love feeling like they’ve been shrunken down to toy-size in the vibrant, colorful world of Andy’s Room. All “Toy Story” fans will recognize it! Children will love crawling through the body of Slinky Dog, rearranging Mr. Potato Head’s face and sitting in an oversized remote controlled car!
Remember the scare floor from “Monster’s Inc.”? Well, it was the inspiration behind the elaborately themed play structure here – perfect for climbing! Kids can also play games at the computers integrated into the walls of Monster’s Academy.
