Disney Vacation Guide to June 2012 Events

Why do so many people visit Disney World in June? Well, besides the fact that school’s out for so many families, there is an awful lot going on throughout the parks!

Here are five of the best Disney World events happening in June 2012.

Brave – The Highland Games Tournament

On Epcot’s Rose Walk every day from now through July 8 from 11am to 7pm, this kid-friendly activity takes place with games such as the Mini Caber Toss, Haggis Flip and of course, archery. While the kids burn off some energy on the playground, you can catch up on your email thanks to enhanced free wifi!

Sundowner Celebration

Until June 30, every afternoon after Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade in the Animal Kingdom, the Sundowner Celebration will take you through cultural experiences and encounters with nature and wildlife in the Harambe, Anandapur and Discovery Island areas of the park. Enjoy food demonstrations and entertainment as well. Jambo Jeep in the Oasis will help you out with specific times and locations.

Sounds Like Summer

For some reason, music seems to sound better in the summer. If you’ll be in Disney’s Epcot this summer and you enjoy the music of The Eagles, The Bee Gees, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Billy Joel, the sizzling entertainment of the Sounds Like Summer Concert Series is an event to explore.

Dinner and a Show

On Tuesdays and Saturdays for the month of June, La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil and House of Blues have partnered to offer “Dinner and a Show.” Save 25% on Tuesday and Saturday 6pm shows when you book Category 2 tickets for La Nouba with a dining experience at House of Blues during the month of June.
