Disney World Events July 2012
Disney Vacation Guide to July 2012 Events
Summer is here and it’s the time that families love to visit Disney World. If you’re going to celebrate that school’s out and take the children to Disney, find out what’s new throughout the parks! Here are the best Disney World events happening in July 2012 in our Top five list:
Meet Merida
The favorite new heroine is Disney•Pixar’s Merida, the adventurous Scottish lass from “Brave”. After you’ve taken your children to see the animated feature film, take them to the Magic Kingdom’s Fairytale Garden where they have a chance to meet her in person. Children can also meet the three mischievous bear cubs and try out a bow and arrow during archery practice.
Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station
The most recent addition to the Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland is this water play station where kids can get soaked by an elephant trunk and splashed by playful monkeys and giraffes. Along with Dumbo and Barnstormer, Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station brings more circus fun to the New Fantasyland.
Two Dumbos in Dumbo, the Flying Elephant
If one wasn’t fun enough, Disney added a second Dumbo flying counterclockwise around the Big Top. The new red and gold colors are reminiscent of tin toys from the 1950s and 1960s and another hint of the fun that will appear inside the Big Top.
Tropical fun at Typhoon Lagoon
From grooving to Caribbean tunes to sampling a chicken jerk wrap, there are new features for summer fun at the waterpark, along with the plunging down a water slide or cooling off in the waves.
July 4th Celebrations
There will be special Disney fireworks at Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios for Independence Day, from IllumiNations to Disney’s Celebrate America.
