Disney Vacation Guide: Fun Valentine’s Day Date Ideas

Who says Valentine’s Day has to be about splurging on elaborate dinners and buying expensive flowers? If you and your sweetheart prefer not to go over-the-top with your Valentine’s Day plans, here are three fun and not-fancy ways to celebrate your love at Disney World.

On horseback

Head to the Tri-Circle-D Ranch at the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground for some good-old fashioned horseback riding fun. (This is where Cinderella’s ponies live!) Choose from a 45- or 60-minute trail guided trail ride through the wilderness of the resort.

Arcade fun and games

Act like teenagers again at one of the many arcades located around the resort or head to the Downtown area to Disney Quest. Race together against pirates in a search for gold! Design a roller coaster and ride it! Soar above the streets of Agrabah on an exciting magic carpet ride! You and your honey will be in awe of the sophisticated 3D and virtual reality that make this 5-story indoor gaming experience so amazing. This is a very fun date destination!

Retro romance at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater

Snuggle close together in a vintage ’50s “convertible” table and sip on milkshakes or beer while watching ’50s and ’60s sci-fi and monster movies on the big screen. The drive-in ambience comes complete with an evening star-filled sky and glow-in-the-dark ice cubes. Don’t be surprised if your love tries to hold your hand or move in for a smooch at this fun diner in the Hollywood Studios theme park.
