AquaLab debuts on the Fantasy!
Disney Vacation Guide to the new AquaLab on the Disney Fantasy
If you’ve had your fun on the AquaDuck, don’t stop there! Disney Fantasy’s Deck 12 is filled with water fun, and right next to the Water Coaster’s entrance is a brand new feature on the Disney Cruise line. Aqualab is an 1,800-square-foot space ready to soak you with pop jets, leaky walls and spurting pipes to geysers, overflowing boats and bubblers.
If you follow the storyline for AquaLab, it was a creation by the nephews of Donald Duck, and Huey, Dewey and Louie made quite a mess. But the real thanks goes to Disney Imagineers - when they raised AquaDuck to gain as much deck space as they could, they realized there was room for another play area, and they let their imaginations go to work.
Splash and Play to get drenched!
The perfect spot for water play, Aqua lab is brand new. As you enter the area, Donald’s nephews have left hand-painted notes that put children in charge! Kids can torque wheels and push levers in three different stations to “control” speed, temperatures and fun for the AquaDuck. The rest of the Aqualab is full of leaks. Spread your hands over holes in the leaky wall, to prevent water from squirting from pipes or try and duck water as it sprays from the overhead dinghy. Once Donald’s row boat fills up with water and a fish head rises from a bucket, prepare to get soaked!
If you haven’t yet, it’s time to take the plunge down the AquaDuck, an exhilarating flume ride where water blasters funnel guests through tubes around the perimeter of the ship’s top deck - watch our video below. The 765-foot long tubes, some transparent, coil and bend as they drop, turn and propel you toward a wet exit!
