Disney Vacation Guide to restaurants with fabulous views

There’s a time and place for a quick meal at a fast food restaurant and Heaven knows, Walt Disney World is full of those types of establishments! But sometimes, you just want to sit and enjoy a meal over a gorgeous view that you can’t get back home.

5 of our favorite “rooms with a view” in Disney World:

Coral Reef

Try not to let the sharks, eagle rays and tropical fish swimming by distract you from the tasty seafood in this unique dining environment where the occasional diver will wave from inside the 5.7-million-gallon saltwater tank. Fifty-foot long windows offer great viewing that will keep children entertained while you enjoy your meal.

Cap’n Jacks

Dine on seafood pasta, clam chowder or crab cakes at this casual waterfront restaurant in Downtown Disney. Sip on a signature strawberry margarita while taking in the fantastic panoramic water views of the Buena Vista Lagoon.

California Grill

Choose between spectacular views of the Magic Kingdom Theme Park or the Seven Seas Lagoon to enjoy an award-winning Californian gourmet dinner at this up-scale establishment on the 15th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The menu changes regularly to offer the best fresh produce and the California wine list changes to complement each dish. (There is fantastic fireworks viewing here!)

Garden Grill

Gaze out the windows at an ever-changing Living with the Land panorama, as the Garden Grill Restaurant slowly revolves during dinner. Meal elements may be harvested from the pavilion’s greenhouse as you choose among grilled steak, roast turkey, and sustainable fish from the all-you-care-to-eat buffet. Chip ‘n’ Dale and friends visit each table for an added attraction.

  • $15-35.99

Rose & Crown

Grab a patio seat for the best possible view of the Illuminations fireworks show. UK favourites such as fish and chips, sticky toffee pudding and ales round out the evening. This is a popular restaurant so book early and let them know your preferred seating – a table can’t be guaranteed but it’s worth the try at this popular Epcot eatery.
