3 best ways to spend Valentine’s Day in the Magic Kingdom
Disney Vacation Guide: Valentine’s Day in the Magic Kingdom
Disney World is a romantic place to be with the magic in the air, the nightly fireworks, the fine food the stunning gardens around every corner. But if you’re in Disney with someone you love on Valentine’s Day, the theme parks seem that much more magical.
Here are three of the best ideas we have for celebrating Valentine’s Day in the Magic Kingdom Area of Disney World:
Horse and Carriage Ride
Enjoy a secluded evening outing by horse-drawn carriage. You’ve never experienced the wilderness of the Disney World resort like this! The gentle motion of the antique carriage and the clip-clop of horse hooves are very condusive to hand-holding as you’re escorted through the park’s romantically rustic landscape. The carriage departs from Pioneer Hall at the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground and takes you on a 25-minute ride through the scenic 750-acres of the resort. For reservations call 407-939-7529.
Romantic “Sea” Cruise
So the “sea” we speak of is the Seven Seas Lagoon but that doesn’t make it any less romantic. Reserve a seat for you and your love aboard The Grand Floridan’s Grand 1,a 52-foot yacht dripping with elegance. If you really want to impress her, arrange for a gourmet meal and private butler service. This is one of the most magical ways to view the Wishes fireworks show. She’ll never forget it! For reservations call 407-824-2682.
The Magic, The Memories, and You! Valentine’s Edition
If your budget doesn’t quite allow for a private cruise of the Seven Seas Lagoon, simply stick around long enough to take in The Magic, The Memories, and You! show. Cinderella Castle is covered in red roses, then an idyllic star-filed sky. The most romantic of Disney moments inspire this special show which runs through February 15. Hold your honey’s hand while scenes from Cinderella, Snow White and Beauty and the Beast play out on stunning stained-glass widows.
