Disney News: Bowling alley features five bars and sushi

Disney magic is coming to bowling with 30 high-tech lanes and sushi bars at Splitsville Luxury Lanes in Downtown Disney West. See what the retro two-level establishment is offering:

In the five bars that are located on all levels both inside and the outdoor patios, here’s what you can find:

  • the 18-ounce Splitsville frozen beer schooner
  • old-fashioned slushies
  • specialty cocktails such as snickertinis and key lime martinis
  • wine list with over 25 labels
  • “freestyle” Coca-Cola machine with over 100 flavor combos

Sit back and watch sushi chefs roll their hand-made delicacies at one of two sushi bars. There are a dozen rolls to chose from:

  • Volcano Roll
  • California Roll
  • Super Tuna
  • Spicy tuna
  • JB salmon Roll

From hand-cut steaks to slow-cooked pulled pork with fries and slaw, Chef Tim Cushman has created a unique menu for a bowling alley. It’s not all sit-down dining, there are fast food options but served in style. Pizzas, from cheese to barbecued chicken, are hand tossed. Burgers, such as the triple-decker Mad King, are a combination of Black Angus brisket, short ribs and ground beef, topped with a crispy onion ring and a pound of double cheese and bacon. And there’s a variety of starters:

  • three-pepper calamari sautéed with cherry
  • salads
  • jalapeño and banana peppers
  • edamame
  • alley nachos
  • seared ahi tuna
  • mini-turkey clubs

Children’s Menu

The kids’ menu has all items listed for $7 with the usual favourites:

  • burgers
  • grilled cheese
  • chicken tenders
  • mac and cheese
