Disney news: Community leaders and Central Florida kids get a special pass into Disney’s new Fantasyland.

This week, 150 community leaders and a group of Central Florida children got a special sneak preview of the new Magic Kingdom experience at Disney World – Fantasyland.

Central Florida Boys and Girls Club

Members of the Central Florida Boys and Girls Club were able to go inside the walls of Cinderella’s Castle for the first time and experience the new elements of the Magic Kingdom, from Enchanted Tales with Belle to Ariel’s Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid. They also sampled Gaston’s Le Fou’s Brew.

Community Leaders

Community leaders are excited about the economic boost that the new fantasyland addition will bring. So far it has created over 700 construction jobs and upon completion in 2013 there will be 800 new operational jobs for the Disney theme park, from attraction hosts to management.

Library Donation

A donation of $55,000 was given to the library system at Orange County in honor of Princess Belle’s love of reading and marking the date of 1955 when Disneyland opened its first Fantasyland.

Expansion Date

This new expansion is set to open up on December 6, 2012.

Coming in 2013: Princess Fairytale Hall

While the new Fantasyland is nearing completion and in preview and soft test mode, you can see that the crane is in place and construction has started for the Princess Fairytale Hall in the Castle Courtyard and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
