Disney News: Three commemorative medals designed for this year’s Disney Marathon

The Disney Marathon is a bit over four months away and given it’s the 20th Anniversary run, there are continuous news announcements, from stars such as Drew Carey and Alison Sweeney joining the run, to the commemorative medals. Although the commemorative medal is the focal point, we thought we’d show you the trilogy depending on which run you’re in. From the special Runner’s Challenge to A-list celebrities that are running in the race, sometimes the real incentive is seeing the medal as if you’ve already won. If that’s the ticket for you, keep scrolling!

The Commemorative Medal

If you’re running the Marathon on Jan. 13th, 2013, you’ve already seen Mickey, both old and new, the spinning elements and Disney’s inspirational quote.

2013 Goofy Medal

For those who finished both Saturday’s Half Marathon and Sunday’s full Marathon, and still have the energy to enter the Goofy race and a half challenge, you’ll proudly wear his toothy grin protruding outside of the medal frame.

Weekend Events

Of course there are other events and trinkets if you can’t run the marathon. We don’t yet know what the prizes are for the Kids’ Races, the Mickey Mile or the Family Run 5K but we’re certain it will be something that runners will be proud to display.
