New at the International Food & Wine Festival
Disney News: Tours, Concerts and Marketplaces that are debuting at Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival
The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival opened taste buds this weekend. Some tours and luncheons are already sold out but there are many new marketplaces and concerts that don’t require a special event ticket. If you’re a regular to the annual festival and are planning to visit this year here’s what’s new for 2012:
Even carnivores will be delighted with the TERRA Marketplace. Vegan dishes include Trick’n Chick’n Curry with Basmati Rice or a chili that comes with house-Made Chips and Cashew Cheese.
Florida Local Marketplace
You’ll discover fresh twists on local food at the FLORIDA Marketplace such as white corn arepa or Florida shrimp ceviche with fried plantains. Top that off with Florida Beer Company lager or a Florida Orange Grove sangria, and you’ll feel like a local!
Included with 2012 Admission
The following new experiences are all includes with the cost of admission so make sure you stop by:
- Chocolate Experience: Learn about chocolate’s origins, take photos of sculptures created by Disney pastry chefs, sample some sweets and buy a few to take home. The highlight is Drinking Chocolate – give it a try! Hours: Daily from 9:00 a.m. till close.
- The Watermelon Patch : Yes, there are watermelons growing in a garden patch so stop by and learn some tips.
- Wine Shop Sampling: Stop in at the Festival Center Wine Shop for wine sampling at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Eat to the Beat Concert Series
There are four bands playing at the Eat to the Beat! concert series - check out the concert lineup if you want to catch Smash Mouth, Blues Traveler, Dennis DeYoung or Javier Colon.
Sold Out Tour and Luncheon
The Marketplace VIP Chef Access Tour and the Italian Regional Food & Wine Luncheon is already sold out, but, we wanted to let you know that they were new!
