Disney News: Four new bands play at the International Food & Wine Festival

There are four bands playing at the Eat to the Beat! concert series for the 17th annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival at Disney this year so while you’re eating your way around the world catch performances by pop icons or one of the new bands. Night Ranger kicks off the concert series playing for three nights but the following four bands are hitting the stage at the America Gardens Theatre for the first time:

Smash Mouth

Smash Mouth will rock the stage on October 11th to 12th, 2012 with their chart busting hits like “Walkin’ on the Sun” and “All Star.” Known for their party sound, it’s the combination of 60s surf and garage influences with modern pop that brings the house down.

Javier Colon

The first season winner of NBC’s The Voice, Javier Colon is known for his song “A Drop in the Ocean” and will play that among other songs on October 13th to 14th, 2012. Although he had a quick rise to fame, his soulful voice and acoustic-soul style coupled with his commanding stage presence continues to build a strong fan base that has grown into millions worldwide.

Blues Traveler

A band that has been around for more than two decades, Blues Traveler continues to draw crowds with their spontaneous live shows. The blues-rock band  brings their high-energy performances to the festival on November 5th and 6th, 2012. Their single, “Run-Around,” still holds a place in Billboard history as the longest-charting radio single

Dennis DeYoung

One of original members of STYX, Dennis DeYoung plays at Eat to the Beat on November 7th and 8, 2012. Although a founding member of the rock group with chart busting hits like “Babe”, “Come Sail Away” and “Mr. Roboto”, DeYoung has also become a top-selling solo artist, with a total of 7 albums. He’s also written songs and performed on Broadway and for television and film.
