Disney News: Learn about cooking at Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival
The International Food & Wine Festival isn’t only about sampling, it’s about learning about food and cooking, in all its forms. Check out the following options for 2012:
The Magic of Healthy Living Dinner
You’ll get a a four-course meal, non-alcoholic drinks and helpful tips from celebrity chefs on preparing healthy and flavorful meals.
- Where: East Hall, World ShowPlace Events Pavilion
- When: Saturday, October 19, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Cost: $110.00/person, plus tax. Epcot admission is required.
Kitchen Memories
This 3-course lunch evokes joyful kitchen memories. Celebrity chefs such as Andrea Robinson, Robert Irvine or Duskie Estes, demonstrate appetizer, main course and dessert preparation, along with wine pairing for each course.
- Where: Festival Welcome Center, Chef’s Showcase
- When: Select Fridays 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon (September 28 to Nov. 9)
- Cost: $110 to $160/person, plus tax. Epcot admission required.

Cheese Seminars
Discover cheese with experienced fromagers such as Max McCalman from Artisanal Premium Cheese Center in New York City and David Gremmels from Rogue Creamery in Central Point, Oregon. Depending on the date, you’ll sample selects cheese from Spain, Italy, France and the U.S., and will then learn about pairing them with select wines or beers.

- When: Select Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. (September 29 to Nov. 10)
- Cost: $80/person, plus tax. Epcot admission required.
Culinary Adventures in Signature Dining
Resident chefs at Signature restaurants in Walt Disney World Resort such as Wolfgang Puck’s Dining Room, Flying Fish Café and Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant, prepare a meal experience while the host winery pairs wines for the dishes. The experience is available from September 27 till November 9 on select nights and prices vary depending on the restaurant.
