Florida News: A sneak peek at what we’ll see at the new Fantasyland

Whether it’s looking at the new castle walls or Ariel’s grotto, Disney is slowly unveiling bits of of the new Fantasyland, teasing us for the grand opening this December, 2012. We’ve been featuring parts of this multiyear project as they’ve been unveiled this year, from Pete’s Silly Sideshow to  Dumbo, the Flying Elephant, but there is still lots to come. Here is a bit of what you’ll see from the biggest expansion ever in the history of the Magic Kingdom:

Journey of The Little Mermaid

The home of the new attraction, Under the Sea – Journey of The Little Mermaid, is Prince Eric’s Castle. You will enter through the scenes from the beloved animated movie and hum the classic songs as you join Ariel on her underseas adventure. There will also be a chance to meet everyone’s favorite mermaid.

Be Our Guest Restaurant

You’ll be able to step into scenes from the animated movie in any of the three dining rooms that are located in the Beast’s castle. From eleven feet wide crystal chandeliers to larger-than-life Belle and Beast dancing figures, even the music itself comes straight from the movie.

Coming in 2013: Princess Fairytale Hall

If you want to meet royalty and princesses while you’re in the Magic Kingdom, you can now enter the stone walls of the Princess Fairytale Hall in the Castle Courtyard. Beyond the stained glass windows, you’ll see portraits of the Disney princesses in the galleries and be able to meet Aurora, Belle, Cinderella and other princesses in the elegantly finished rooms.
