Disney News: Coming up in the parks – Spring 2013

With a new Fantasyland Expansion debuting for this holiday season, something new seems to be around every corner at Disney World. Following is an overview of what’s taking place in Disney during spring 2013:

Limited Time Magic

In 2013, there will be something new at Disney World every week. Whether big or small, each new element of magic will be limited to one week and will be an unexpected surprise. From Independence Day celebrations to a Villain dance party on  Friday the 13th, each week will hold a unique element.  Some surprises will be more elaborate such as Valentine’s Day week where all of the Disney castles will be decked out in pink, candlelit dinners will be held for lovers and princes and princesses will be at various meet and greets.

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

It’s the 20th Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival this year, from March 6th to May 19th, 2013. During the 75-day festival, Disney’s horticulture team has many new items in store from topiaries and gardens to new play areas and gardening seminars.

Disney World Marathon Weekend

The run from January 10th to the 13th is already sold out with many celebrities being a part of the marathon, but there are family races and a Health and Fitness Expo that you can still take part in.
