Disney News: The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror returns with scary fun for the whole family
Disney’s newest race, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler, begins at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and twists through Hollywood Studios. Debuting on Sept. 29, 2012 at 10 p.m., this is Disney’s second evening race along with the International Food & Wine Festival’s Wine & Dine Half Marathon. Although registration is almost sold out other than spots that may be available via travel outfitters or charity groups, there’s still a chance to be a part of the weekend with the following events if you register soon:
Disney Happy Haunted 5K Trail Run
This 5K course is one that the whole family can enjoy with on-course entertainment and a variety of surface tracks at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. You’ll run from pavement to sand and finish with a 5K T-shirt, medallion and iGiftBag.

runDisney Kids’ Races
Any age can participate in the runDisney Kids’ Races. If your child is 12 months and under, there’s the Diaper Dash for crawlers and from there age groups progress with the distance: 1-3 year olds take part in the 100m dash, 4-6 year olds run in the 200m dash and 7-8 year olds race in the 400m dash. If you register for the 1 mile run by September 1st, you’ll get a personalized bib. Each child receives a finisher medallion, Tshirt and iGiftBag.

Disney Villains Hollywood Bash
Party with runners and get your after-hours thrills on Disney’s Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Star Tours. Along with character meet and greets, other rides that are open are Muppet*Vision 3D, Toy Story Mania! and The Great Movie Ride.
